چکیده
he electrochemical control of oxidation and reduction processes in organic and inorganic systems is an area of extensive research in both academia and industry. Electrochemical techniques are extremely useful in generating interesting species in unusual oxidation states, or for producing reactive intermediates (as, for example in the reductive dimerization of vinyl cyanide in the Monsanto manufacture of Nylon 66), but provide little intrinsic structural information. To overcome this limitation, spectroscopic methods have frequently been used in conjunction with electrochemical methods in order to monitor the progress of a reaction and to obtain more detailed structural and mechanistic information. The in situ alliance of electrochemistry/spectroscopy is particularly valuable in situations where the species undergoing the redox process would not survive the transfer from an electrochemical to a spectroscopic cell, or in situations where it is essential that the spectroscopic analysis occur concurrently to the electrochemical generation, such as in kinetic studies. The focus of this research is developing and utilising spectroscopic techniques (including EPR, UV-VIS, FTIR and NMR) to study processes involving electron transfer, primarily in organic systems. Resources and expertise are shared with the Coordination Chemistry and Spectro-electrochemistry Group.

Primary Adenotonsillar Tuberculosis in an Immunocompetent Child -A Case Report
Introduction: Primary tuberculosis (TB) of the oropharynx and nasopharynx is an extremely rare form of extra-pulmonary TB in children. Primary tuberculosis occurs more likely secondary to pulmonary TB and is more common in immunocompromised patients. Case Report: We reported the case of a young male presented with the symptoms of non-specific chronic adenotonsillitis, ...
متن کاملStridor in a Newborn with Double Aortic Arch-A Case Report
Introduction: Double aortic arch (DAA) is a congenital anomaly of the aortic arch. It is the most common type of complete vascular ring. When it occurs, the connected segment of the aortic arch and its branches encircle the trachea and esophagus, leading to symptoms related to these two structures. Case Report: We present a case of a newborn baby who developed biphasic stridor immediately after...

متن کاملQueen for a Day: Gender, Representation, and Materiality in Elizabeth II's Televised Coronation
The televised coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 was defined by the gender of the monarch at its center. Or, as the Chicago Tribune put it, "If a king were to be the star June 2, the glamour surely would be not so compelling."1 Prevailing narratives about the exceptional nature of a female monarch underscored the importance of the queen's femininity; this quality was primarily responsible...
